It would of been nice to see a few shots of the boat at speed, shot from a drone or the shore!! To be honest this was a fairly boring video, barely saw any of the boat appart from when it was in dock doing NOTHING!!

Hi Tristan. Miss the AWOL team greatly. Hypothetically, if I won the lottery and never owned a yacht and decided to buy the ultimate machine (the yacht) would you hire the captain first? I would think first. He/She should be able to guide you to a great boat and get the best out of it as long as the experience is there. Since (hypothetical me) I have never owned a yacht where should one turn to find a suitable one who has the tickets to command a 50 , 500 or 3000 ton vessel? Just curious what your thoughts are.

Multimillion superyacht or multimillion supertanker….same checklists and procedures….though the jacuzzi is on on,y one of them!

I imagine they are just doing day charters with clients eating in local restaurants then back to port. Otherwise cpts missing a crew member at minimum, 8X weekly charters would be 2/3 crew at least

It uses 95 gallons of fuel per hour at a cruising speed of 40 knots. (46mph) So in 46 miles you use 95 gal. 95/46=2.0 *GPM* 2 gallons per mile. 7.6 litres per km 😅

The vessel without people don’t do anything, so keep the people…

I'm a total novice but I presume the owner either didn’t do the basic research before ordering or else was very badly mislead. Either way it’s about time the maritime world got its act together and legislated to ensure proper certification is a legal requirement for every new build.
